Greetings, Earthlings! How’s things? Its been a while since we posted hasn’t it? Well, we hinted that we were engaged in artist development back in November, and in that time we managed to move headquaters (directly accross the street if truth be told), form a (very) independant record label and record/mix our first release!
Yes, thats right. Back in 2007, shortly after being involved with the recording and distribution of Uni Wrong’s final record, we practically vomited at the idea of ever being involved with anything regarding “musicians” ever again. That is until now! Our first release is an EP by a band called “End States”. Members wish to remain nameless, and have in the past said that they will never peform their material live. Sounds perfect, we thought.
As a special treat, in celebration of our first official release, we are presenting a special deal. We’re calling it “The Economic Downturn Special Offer”. That’s right, in light of the current financial crisis, we are releasing this 3 track debut EP for free, in the form of a high quality, digital download! This beauty will be hitting the site on 26th April 2009!
Also on the site for free download is Uni Wrong’s “Cheap Talk/Short Memories EP”, as a further “treat”. Incredible! Actual physical releases are currently being planned, and will hopefully manifest themselves as soon as summer 2009. How exciting!
We’ve also been doing some work, behind the scenes on our website. There are a few new features and layouts for you to check out. Most obviously is the “Features” tab on the homepage, which will take you through live music events, release and podcasts that the collective is involved with! Right now we have a Bridge and Tunnel matinee show at The White Room, Sunderland on 26th April 2009. Support from Offshore Radio, Pure Graft and ONSIND (or as Joe from the Dauntless Elite calls it, “the obligitory sunderland support line-up”). Also coming up in June is New Bruises.
Finally, we are firing up the podcast machine again, this time for real. Stay tuned for more information!
*UPDATE* Did we say 26th? We obviously meant 28th! Problems with production have set us back. Fear not. Your ears will receive these sounds this coming Tuesday. That is all.
