Hi friends. How is it going? We’ve had a great time over the past few weeks playing some gigs with some absolutely top notch bands. Bridge and Tunnel, Young Livers, Bangers, Glass Avalanche, Misery Addict, Offshore Radio, Down & Outs, and Jimmy the Mags to name but a few. Its really been a great start to the year.
Today, we offer you an audio/visual masterpiece. This is a video shot almost entirely by David Jones and edited by yours truly. Last August we toured Germany, and to celebrate our return and the release of our split 7 inch this month, we have thrown this nice little montage/live video together.
As I just mentioned, we are heading back to Germany in 2 weeks time. Its pretty ridiculous how fast this has crept up on us. We’ll be in Germany from 25th May – 5th June. Finalised dates are on the gigs page now!
In other news, our split 7 inch with our amazing friends A Hurricane’s Revenge is now pressed and awaiting collection in Germany. We are so excited about this. It is our first official release, and I would like to take a second to thank everyone who helped us out with the project. The songs were recorded in September 2009, mixed and mastered by Mike Randle, cover art was hand painted by Sarah Fellows, Tim from Dingleberry Records helped release it, and it would not have been possible without the continued support of Johannes, Martin, Tom and Flo.
Here is a stream of the record. You will be able to order it by hitting the Merch link at the top of the page, soon, but we will not be able to fill any orders until we return from tour (second week in June). Every physical record comes with a free digital download code, so you can get high quality mp3s for your iShite. You can buy the record download only by clicking here.
We’ve been playing shows for almost exactly 1 year now, and I can’t tell you how amazing it has been. Thanks to everyone who’s helped us out so far. We really appreciate it.
Well, today we got back from recording in Barnsley. What an experience it has been. Extremely stressful and difficult at times, and extremely enjoyable and hilarious at others. We’ve managed to track all of the music in the last 10 days. We recorded 14 songs. No mean feat. It was a lot harder than I had anticipated, but I think we’ve managed to produce something quite special.
Huge thank you’s to the following individuals, without whom the process so far would have been an enduring nightmare: Dan Shannon, Gareth Barker, and most importantly Jason Sanderson, whose patience knows no bounds it seems.
We will be returning to Barnsley soon to finish off the album with vocals, a few more guitar things and some mix/mastering. Then we just have to figure out how to release the thing. Overall, I’m very pleased. Have a look at this video we shot while we were down there. I’ll post a few pictures when I can be bothered.
Okay, here’s a few snaps we got. I spent most of the time filming, so there’s only a few. There’s some more on the photo albums page. I’ll try to get more amusing ones when we go back to track vocals. Images of us staring at amps, setting up drums and restringing guitars aren’t exactly the most enthralling to view.
