Praxis Media Productions is a non-profit media collective that produces educational resources featuring critical voices on underreported topics and issues. Many of their projects are also used as fundraisers for non-profit grassroots social justice groups.

Their audio projects are frequently broadcast on campus, community and pirate radio stations across North America. All of their projects are available to listen to or download for free through their website. However, they encourage those who can afford so to purchase CD copies or to donate to Praxis Media Productions All profits go to support current and future projects.

Michael Collins - Immigration/Unity Group

Michael Collins is part of the Unity group in Glasgow. In this 20 minute lecture recorded at Star and Shadow Cinema Newcastle, he outlines the plight of assylum seekers and the different tactics involved in organising against immigration control.

Teresa Hayter - Immigration/Assylum

Teresa Hayter is a lifelong campaigner against racism and the author of seven books including “Open Borders: The Case Against Immigration Controls,” in which she proposes a free migration model that has been variously described as “visionary” and “insane”. This 30 minute lecture was recorded at the Star And Shadow Cinema Newcastle, and is an introduction and analysis of the immigration system in the UK. (More discussion on Podcast Episode 3)

Paul Burrows - Palestine and the Geneva Accord


Paul Burrows helped co-found Winnipeg's Old Market Autonomous Zone (or A-Zone), a space for community activists and grassroots organizations to share facilities, and aid in efforts at networking and building a "culture of resistance." In 1996, he helped co-found Mondragón Bookstore & Coffeehouse. He is currently active with various social justice movements in Winnipeg, Canada.
